V13 Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength; we will sing and praise your might.
This Psalm speaks of more than a human king can do – that it is only with God that the king of earth can do these things (v 9,10). It is about God’s strength and power and not ours. About what God can do through us, whomever he chooses, however he chooses. It is about God doing what God sees and knows is best while still allowing us to choose how we will be involved in God’s story. That God will have the final victory and in the meantime, work through us humans if he wishes. God does not expect us to be gods.
Do I sometimes forget or take away God’s strength because it is not so visible at times? God has / is the strength. He chooses how to use it.
