Psalm 49
v12 “But human beings despite their riches, do not endure; they are like the beasts that perish.”
v20 “Human beings who have riches without understanding are like the beasts that perish.”
Do not have riches without understanding.
It’s all comparative and a matter of perspective though isn’t it, as to how much understanding we think we have and how much we think we can get away with.
Compared to some I have no riches.
Compared to some I have great riches.
How wise am I being with what I do have?
V15 “But God will redeem my life from the grave; he will surely take me to himself.”
